Except he’s the first president that isn’t white… So yeah, you can’t compare the two. At all.
Actually the imagery is quite telling. If this meme featured any other “race” in “the to protect yours” box the meme wouldn’t even get off the floor. The use of a white family was very deliberate to shock the viewer into pay attention to racial bias which the entirety of President Obama’s electorate was based upon.
Also there absolute no excuse to have a outward looking “white family” representing all of “America” even for meme standards.

And let’s not forget that the President and his family get priority protection from the military because they are POLITICAL TARGETS and have a high chance of being ASSASSINATED for the political gain of an enemy of the United States of America.
You and your little Joe Schmoe family are not high-profile targets for shit. You wanna protect your family, then protect your family, but you don’t need military-grade assault weapons to do it.

Also, that is a HAND GUN pictured, not a high-capacity magazine or an assault rifle.
Handguns are not being banned, Obama has just proposed to try to close the gun show loop hole, so if you fail a criminal background check you canot have a gun.
Another thing wrong with this picture is that Obama never wanted to ban guns all together, so people thinking that stricter gun laws is the same thing as banning guns all together are completely lacking the logical understanding of the ENTIRE situation.
